About Us

Triangle Community Resources is proud to have been one of the first service providers in the Fraser Valley to recognize and respond to clients with multiple barriers to employment. Since its inception in 1998, Triangle has successfully provided unemployed Canadians with life skills, career decision-making, job search skills, directed work-search, one-on-one employment counselling services, and financial supports for occupational skills training.  Through constant review of our programming, and strong community and employer partnerships, we have been able to create and deliver highly effective programs and specialized services to integrate and attach clients to the community and to sustainable employment in an ever-changing labour market successfully.  Our proven ability to deliver our employment services to assist unemployed individuals facing challenges to employment prepare for, obtain and maintain employment is second to none; and, our reputation in the Fraser Valley is our strongest marketing asset to date.

In each of our 4 offices located in Abbotsford, Mission, Maple Ridge and Chilliwack, we have highly experienced staff with specialized training, knowledge and experience.   Each office works closely in the community and has established strong employer connections throughout the region. Our Life Skills and Employment Programs continue to be fondly known and identified as the R.I.T.E. Program (Reaching Independence Through Employment).  This program provides participants the opportunity to define their employment goals to fit the local labour market and their area of interests and expertise, while developing and enhancing their personal and professional life skills, supporting each individual to find their purpose.

In addition, Triangle has provided various employment programs specifically designed for Indigenous participants.  Our 8-week mobile Aboriginal Career Awareness Program was delivered to 12 First Nations Communities in the Fraser Valley area. We have proudly maintained our relationships within the communities and continue to provide Life Skills programming as part of their community employment services.

Along with these core programs, Triangle has also been offering a unique 5-week Understanding Anger Management Program for the past 20 years.  Clients find this program extremely impactful and the program continues to be supported by referring agencies such as Probation, Ministry of Children and Families, Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction, and Employers.

Lastly, Triangle provides Third-Party Administration at the Abbotsford, Mission and Maple Ridge locations. Together with the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction, this program is offered to clients who have been referred by the Ministry due to disruptive behavior.  Triangle works with these clients to develop better personal management skills, integrating a holistic suite of services such as advocacy and mediation with other agencies and resources in the community to support positive outcomes for clients.

Triangle has successfully developed strong working relationships with agencies in the communities we serve; partnering with the Provincial Governments, local municipalities, First Nations Bands, education and training institutions, industry sectors and employers.   These connections, along with Triangle’s holistic approach has been instrumental in delivering successful employment programs over the years supporting our Mission Statement to “To realistically and practically improve the overall employability of our participants, moving them on to independence through skills training and employment.”
