The RITE Program (MHB&D)

Reaching Independence Through Employment

Supporting People with Mental Health Barriers, Learning Disabilities, Addiction and/or related Anxieties.

The RITE Program provides employment services to people struggling with mental health, addiction, concurrent disorders, and/or learning disabilities (disabilities can be self-identified or assessed).  At no cost to the participant, our flexible and holistic services support participants to gain the confidence, skills and experience needed to find and sustain meaningful employment in a supportive environment for learning and skill development.  The program is built to ensure each participant is provided the supports, services and tools required to manage their unique individual barriers and circumstances which have also been adversely affected by the additional stresses and isolation brought on by the pandemic.  Participants will be provided with life and employment skill workshops in a one to one and group-based environment (2-week full time life skills workshop series).  Participants will also receive skills training along with vocational assessments, work experience opportunities, personal counselling, job search and job start assistance, and financial supports.  Through a holistic and flexible approach that provides client centered counselling and interventions, clients can make informed career decisions based on their interests and abilities, understand the value of skills training and education, and be prepared to succeed in employment.
