Client Testimonials

I honestly don’t know where’d I’d be in life today if it wasn’t for Triangle’s RITE program. It all started with Triangle’s reputation speaking for itself and all of the many people it’s helped along the way. I spoke with one woman who went through this exact program and recommended I reach out. I am beyond grateful today that I did. Before coming to Triangle, I had done many different jobs over the years. Careers that weren’t going anywhere. I knew in my heart that I wanted something so much more, I just didn’t know where to go to find it. With the help of my worker Aman, and other staff at Triangle, I started to see my worth and potential. I was asked to do a workshop and was very resistant to it at first. I had been part of workshops like these in the past so I was reluctant to do it again. I was blown away. The way that Aman and Maria both taught each of those modules was truly profound. The way everything tied in together at the end, It really helped me grow as an individual.  Through that experience, I discovered that I wanted to become a nurse and was going to go back to school. I received nothing but support, compassion, kindness and encouragement to fulfill this goal. Aman has walked this path with me every step of the way, keeping me informed about the process. She has helped me with doing research for WorkBC so I can hopefully get funding. There has never been any judgment or negativity from anyone at Triangle which has helped tremendously. They have assisted with transportation, helping me find resources for food, clothing for jobs, shoes for work. The list goes on. I recently just found out that Triangle paid for my registration for college and my 4 upgrading classes that are needed for me to even attend college. I am receiving disability from the government and without this program, I couldn’t afford any of this on my own. I would still be at an endless job, that pays minimum wage going nowhere in life. I’m genuinely happy, fulfilled and excited for my life today. Thank you Triangle and thank you Aman and everyone there for helping me when I couldn’t help myself.

Throughout my experience in the six-week Futures for Youth Program I’ve been doing at Triangle Community Resources, I have grown and become more confident in my capabilities. We have been covering loads of material that not only give us very strong employment skills, it also teaches us life skills at the same time. We have learned how to set and maintain boundaries in relationships and how to resolve conflict in a health manner. All the assessments we have done help us learn more about our strengths and weaknesses in many aspects of our lives. The assessments showed us our communication and learning styles so we can understand how we work and learn best. Overall, I’m very glad I took the opportunity to do this program. I’ve learned so much about myself and gained a lot of confidence I didn’t have before!

“My experience with Triangle Community Resources was life-changing. I was at a place in my life where I was in limbo. I knew I needed change, but I felt as I was stuck. A good friend of mine referred me to the RITE Program as she was in the program herself. I reached out to the Triangle Community Resources and Aman set me up as a client. The RITE Program was fun, emotional, and exciting. We dug deep into ourselves to find out who we are and what would be a good career based on what we learned about ourselves. I was deep into my comfort zone and attending the program really got me out of that. During and after the program Aman worked with me to find a career that would be a perfect fit for me. With the help from Aman and the Triangle Community Resources, I am currently in school training to be a Medical Unit Clerk. I would not have been able to push through that flunk if it wasn’t for the RITE program, Aman, and Ashley. From the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with Aman, and Ashley and to have taken the RITE Program. I highly recommend the RITE Program for anyone who is ready to take the next step in their life but is unsure of where to go or what to do, the staff at Triangle will do everything in their power to help you figure out your journey. Thank you for everything!”

The support and services I have received from Triangle Resources/RISE have made a tremendous, positive difference in my life. I am so grateful and feel supported and empowered, which has made the difference in me being able to obtain employment vs becoming financially destitute and draining on government services. I needed some help after being out of the workforce for 7 years and leaving an abusive long term relationship with very little funds and resources. My counselor listened to my needs and helped me to achieve my goals while being incredibly supportive and resourceful. I’m so grateful and want to express my gratitude and how important these services are to empower and enable people to be productive and contributing members in society. Without the services and help, I wouldn’t have been able to be successful on my own. It’s made a huge difference in my life and I am one of the success stories. Sometimes we need a bit of help, so that we can give back and help others. Thank you so much, Ashley and Triangle Resources for believing in me and for all your support and encouragement.

I was referred to Triangle Resources by an employee of a transition home and was put in contact with Aman Sanghera. I had never heard of this organization before, nor did I have any idea what exactly their service provided. Aman is very skilled in her position and has provided me with clear and concise information. We have communicated via Zoom meetings and have had in person meetings.
I was impressed with all the services, training, programs and affiliated organizations made available. When I first began this journey with Aman, I thought it was going to be somewhat a waste of time and was approaching it with a lack of enthusiasm. However, every time we connected and delved into the instruction and information – I was engaged and thoroughly enjoyed our sessions. I was learning so much and pleasantly surprised with the design of presentation and how it was structured. At times I was even overwhelmed with completing tasks which were required, but Aman has been so patient, understanding and has delivered professional, compassionate and insightful assistance throughout my experience.
I had been keenly interested with going back to school to get a diploma for a Community Services Worker. I had been in communications with other organizations with hopes that they would assist with funding a portion of my course, however they seemed quite negative about everything I was trying to accomplish and I was losing hope of even being able to attend college.
And then…Aman to the rescue!! She was tirelessly working on my file and reached out to me with an opportunity to take the course I had been interested in for over a year, but as yet had not been able to do on my own. She found a fully funded course by the Government of BC which being offered by Western Community College. There were only 20 spots available and she immediately gave me all the details to apply for one of the spots. Within a week I was chosen as one of the 20 participants of which there were over 50 applicants applying. I have to believe that Aman had some influence and a hand in my acceptance to this course.
I had reached out to another organization with assistance to obtain a laptop computer through them, as the Ministry and the college both (as well as Aman) had told me that they provide funding for a laptop if I was returning to school, however, I was turned away. I again went with this information to Aman and she immediately told me to come in to her office and she would help me to submit an application for the laptop. The application was submitted through Triangle Resources on my behalf. Once again, I am not sure what kind of magic touch this wonderful lady, Aman, has but to my surprise and delight my laptop was on my doorstep yesterday, which was six days after we submitted the application and also had the long Thanksgiving weekend! I was completely blown away.
Aman continues to work with me with regards to employment opportunities and we are working towards my obtaining part time employment focused on positions which would compliment my future career, whilst I am attending school.
I have found Aman to maintain a high level of excellence and professionalism with her position. She is very engaged and goes above and beyond what is expected of her. She is not only brilliant in her training and ability to map a success plan for an individual. But she has a very warm and personal touch. She is genuinely interested and understanding with my circumstances, my problems or obstacles that I have had to overcome, and provided realistic goals and solutions, then execute and obtain them with absolute success.

Aman is very much a people person with a very caring heart. She has a natural ability to make a person feel at ease and comfortable with such a relaxed and easy going approach. Although a pay cheque is an obvious reason to be employed, it is more than apparent that her greatest joy and reward come from her accomplishments from each client. I have to believe it gives her a sense of pride to see the position or situation a client may come to her at, and how much she has impacted and changed their life when she closes their file. I can only speak from my own personal experience, because I was at one of the lowest points in my life when she came walking into it like a ray of light and hope. Because of her I have been able to reach my goals and my dreams for a future that I have been struggling to obtain but until now have been unable to accomplish.
Aman has a very caring and personal approach and makes the entire process seem so easy (even though there is definite hard work that needs to be put into it).
I would highly recommend this organization, and especially Aman to anyone needing this kind of help. I don’t know how I would have done it or where I would be without her and Triangle Resources!

I really cannot say enough good things about Rise Up. It gives you the chance to believe in yourself again. The staff, Ashley, Aman, and all staff, make you feel welcomed. The assessments give insight into careers that would be a good fit, and what you need to get there. With a little bit of tough love thrown in, you get motivated and on the right track.

The Triangle program helped me so much. Not only did I learn about the workplace, but I also learned about me as a person!

Going in to the program I was faced with the death of a loved one, all of the staff were so beyond supportive and kind during this time. Triangle became such a safe space for me that  I didn’t want the program to end. All of the staff were so friendly, compassionate & made learning fun. The vibe of the office and staff was warm, inclusive, non-judgmental and SAFE. I learnt so much during my time in the program, it really helped me with my next adventures. Knowing that I still have support of all the staff is a plus!!

AMAZING program all around!

I have just  completed my course with Triangle Community Resources and I would recommend it to anyone, no matter your personal, social or professional situation.

I didn’t know how insightful and aware I would become, and how much I would learn about myself. It was a wonderful experience with a group of wonderful people.

Having the opportunity to take a life skills course is very exciting. You learn so much about yourself, from communication styles to your ‘true colours’, as well as the feedback from the group dynamic. This course has taught me that I have many skills, some I was not aware of until being in class. This is very beneficial to groups of all ages. It is a fun way to learn more about yourself and how to work well with others.

I was positively impacted by the RITE Program at Triangle. I came in with major anxiety and insecurity and believed I was useless and couldn’t ever get a job. The facilitators and staff were so kind and encouraging. I was able to see myself as being “enough” and talented and worthy. It was a personal growth journey and I’m moving forward with a positive attitude.
